Diana Chen

Diana Chen is a second-year master’s student at the School of Information, with a focus on data science for public good and product innovation for developing economies. She is currently working with the City of Berkeley’s Office of Emergency Services/Special Operations team, where she is developing community preparedness programs, hazard response strategies, and disaster management tools.

Before returning to school and pivoting into the public sector, Diana worked for over 12 in brand development, overseeing marketing communications and new media campaigns.

Hannah Ellis

Hannah Ellis is a second-year master’s student at the School of Information. She has worked at the intersection of technology and human rights for the last five years. Before starting graduate school, Hannah worked for three years at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) where she was a manager on the technology and human rights team. At BSR her work involved supporting tech companies in the responsible development and deployment of digital technologies

Before BSR, Hannah worked at the Human Rights Foundation and the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard.
